Great Comfort at a Great Price! - new follow-up 09-23-17
When I received it today, I immediately attached it to my powered wheelchair. I have a 20" wide seat and this fit well though it is designed for a smaller seat. The way the sides and arms are designed gives it ample room to spread out. I've been sitting in it for a while and it is very comfortable. The MDI comfort cushion gives me great back support and cushions my tailbone. I'm really liking this product. *** Follow-up - I've been using this for a while now, both in my wheelchair and my recliner. I still love it! I'm a big guy who puts a lot of stress on these kind of products and it's holding up very well and is still quite comfortable. The only negative I've found is that it can get very warm if I use it outside when it is hot. But, that doesn't surprise me because of the way it is designed. I can't wait to use it this later this fall when the temperatures drop and I'm sitting in the cold at the football and soccer games! The way it snuggles around me, I'll be the warmest one there.

Just what I Needed- Added a Bit of Comfort
I found this wheelchair insert easy to use (there are several ties that are used to secure it to the wheelchair.) The shape of the insert fits nicely (20wX16d), and I had no problems either adding it to my wheelchair or using it with my wheelchair. The Physical & Occupational Therapists that came to my home for Home care were both impressed by the quality of the insert. This insert is a good addition, it’s not “perfect” by any means, but it does add a layer of comfort to what can be a very uncomfortable situation. I would recommend trying this insert.

Don't wash it.
Nice looking plaid, very fluffy, very comfortable in a wheelchair. My 92 year old, 110 pound mother tends to slide forward in the chair with this installed. The side cushions sort of slide out the sides under the arm rails. They likely would have worked better it they weren't so overstuffed. When the aids in her home washed it, it exploded polyester fluff out of just about every seam. The stuff went everywhere! My first thought was to stitch up the gaps, but there were just too many. We tossed it out.

Comfy after adjustments
This cushion is one-size-fits-all, but it is patterned for a wheelchair with a tall back and relatively high arm rests. It didn't fit my mom's chair as well as I had hoped, but she says it is very comfortable. She likes it, so we're keeping it. She has painful osteoporosis in her spine, and this cushion seems to help a lot. For that, it's well worth the price. However, here were the issues I noticed when fitting the cushion into her chair: 1. The padding/stuffing in the part of the cushion that covers the back of her wheelchair was a little thinner than I expected. Since it is considerably taller than the back of her wheelchair, however, the very top section slumped down and created an extra layer of padding. (The cushion might not be too high for chairs with taller backs, but in that case it might also provide less padding.) 2. The padding/stuffing in the part that covers the seat was a little lumpy, but it seemed to even out somewhat after she sat on it. 3. After I tied the arm flaps over the the arms of the chair, which was the last step in "installing" it, I sat in the chair to test it. I grasped the arm rests to stand up and the cushion was slippery, sliding around the arm bar beneath. That seems like a safety hazard. I remedied the situation by undoing the ties on the arm flaps, pulling the flaps directly under the arm bars rather than over them, and re-tying the ties. The side of the chair is still cushioned, but the arm bar itself is not covered. That allows my mom to grasp the arms bars to help her stand -- with the brakes on and a caregiver by her side, of course. (This arm-flap adjustment might not be necessary for chairs with higher-set arm rests.) Other than the awkward initital fit, we like the cushion. I would recommend it to those who want a one-cushion solution and are willing to make some slight adjustments for individual wheelchairs.

Wish I rate it less than one
all these reviews, especially the longer ones must be lies, like the manufacturer making up accounts and just lying First off the piece of crap doesn't fit all. The section meant to cover the back fits a little but the sides dont at all. I have a standard sized wheelchair this cushion is like it was made for a miniature chair. the picture is even deceiving because I was very surprised about how small it was when I opened it. the material is thin and cheap. fluff is coming out all over it. The material is like the cheapest fabric you can get at the store when you go to make a Halloween costume. Worst of all is the stuffing inside. It feels cheaper than cotton balls. Oh my I just figured it out now that i think of Halloween, the stuffing is exactly like the fake spider webs they sell to decorate your house all spooky. When the thing arrived I had to pull at all the cushions to try and unclump the stuffing just like when you are separating the fake webs on Halloween when they are fresh out of the package. And of course after sitting in it for a few minutes it was flat and mushy again. I am not even joking when I say it is clumpy and less comfortable to sit on then my bare chair. If got to see this thing in a store before i got it I wouldn't even pay a dollar for it and I doubt it cost more than that to make. HAHA it is honestly, now that i think about it, the worst thing I have ever gotten ever.

fits perfect
bought this for my moms wheelchair, it is perfect. We were constantly putting pillows on the sides to keep her from leaning over. this fills up the space perfectly.

Snug Fit
Does not fit the wheelchair but it does well on the Wing Back Chair. The ties does not fit correctly and guess you need to skinny person to sit down in this. I not a person who returns items, tried it done it and got zero satisfaction with that epic failure. So I plop it in the wheel chair and made myself like a human taco.< Very snug fit> I am glad that I do not have to be in it all the time.

This is one of the best values out there for an insert for a wheelchair
This is one of the best values out there for an insert for a wheelchair. My sister uses a power chair and they are not very wide. This fit perfectly in it and she has coccyx issues, as her tailbone was broken when she was 5. She is 35 now and she also has spastic cerebral palsy. She cannot sit very long without getting sore in her back and tailbone area. This cushioned insert has helped her so much. She can sit for longer periods of time without pain now. I am going to purchase another one for the recliner she sits in. Although, right now I am using it for her power chair and recliner, just switching it out. It comes with ties that are great for keeping it in place. Very cushy and provides a lot of support.
