I don't know if they will actually hold 440 lbs and not sure I want to test it. Glad I went with these and not the lighter duty ones. They are a little bit of a puzzle to install. Worked best for me to install the drawer slides in their mounting location......and then attach the drawer to them. The are corresponding holes in the rails to access the mounting holes so you will have to slide the rails in & out to line them up as you move from mounting hole to mounting hole. No directions come with these. I used them for a sliding equipment/recovery gear drawer in the back of my Jeep. I'm happy with the results, no rattling or movement when locked in the in position.
