I previously had the insulated 3 tier tiffin, and it was unfortunately stolen. I bought this wanting to try a smaller sized tiffin. It certainly is smaller, but I’ve realized I don’t need more than 3 layers. (And usually I’m having a hard time filling 3 if I’m eating Western food) I preferred the following on the insulated version: 1. The handle, 2. The single latch, 3. the weight. I liked the idea that I could use it in defense if needed. (That may sound silly) Things I think this one does better: 1. the ability to tighten the hold. 2. The top lid design, I like the fit better. It seems more secure. 3. It’s obviously lighter. All said, these tiffins are all fantastic.
