Alumahangers are exactly what you need!
If you have an aluminum awning (mine is alumawood brand) and you want to hang lights, you need these. I used command strips at first, and they worked, for a short time. The wind and the heat just overwhelmed the command strip glue. But these Alumahangers! Wow. They slid in mostly easily. If you are near a screw hole, then the fit is tighter, but they are strong, and hold the lights perfectly. No holes, no drilling, no real effort. The hooks are the right size for the eye hooks in the lights, so there is no wiggling that will tear the lights in the long run, and the hooks are the perfect length to hold the lights at the bottom of the rafter in a nice line. Are these more expensive than command strips? Sure. BUT, when you spend $300 on quality LED lights, why not spend the money to hang them right.

Work great to run extension cord or maybe a mister hose
Wanted something so that I could run an extension cord up and around my aluminum patio. I wanted to have done lights hanging from then also to give light to the backyard. These hooks work great. Strong enough to hang the lights from and the extension cords are out of the way.

Work as described, perfect for my party lights!
The price on these are steep. As glorified coat hangers, these could be half the price. However, given that there are not many other options for hanging items from aluminum awnings, these definitely did the job. These were a bit tougher to wedge in than I thought they'd be. I had to use a flathead screwdriver to open up the gap a little so these could be set in place. Overall, they look great and in the two months they've been up, have held up really well. I recommend, especially if you can find them for a bit cheaper.

Nice hooks, go for the longer version
Just had a new patio installed and the contractor said many people use these to hang stuff on the patio. Purchased 2 packages of flat slides from Amazon. Couldn’t decide whether to get the long hangers or the short/small ones. I am hanging string lights and some plants. The fat part slides into the seams like a shim. On some areas of my patio the seam was tighter and deeper or shallower, probably depending on if it was near a screw or not. My point is-the depths needed weren’t all the same, but that’s the nice thing about these hooks, they are plastic. I was able to take a hack saw and cut them to fit flush. If I didn’t need the long hanger part, I just cut it off. Glad I got the longer ones because if I got all short ones I would have been stuck with not being able to customize them. I hope this makes sense, but if you are undecided on which length to get, go with the longer ones.

Perfect for hummingbird feeders
I am so glad I had this handy, sleek hook to use with my alumawood trellis - I didn't need to drill any holes in the trellis or use a clunkly hanging system. This fit right between the space under the top slats. I did need to trim off the end to get it to fit under the slat but it is still holding just fine. I used another one to hang up a wind spinner and really like that I can move things around if I want with easy to use hooks!

VERY expensive, but Okay
So these work... sort of. In my Aluma Wood patio cover there are many places where the fit is just too tight. Snug is good. "won't fit" is not good. Also, they only come in white and dark brown... neither of which is my color (so they kind of stand out). Price? Don't get me started... ridiculously expensive for what they are (molded plastic). But I'm sort of a captive audience. On the plus side, where they DO fit, a nice feature is that you can hang a wind chime (for example) on the bottom hook, AND string lights or other decorations through the top loop. Overall a 3. Bring the price down, and I'd be muh happier.

Over-Priced Pieces of Plastic
These hangers would not stay in place once weight was attached to them. They would slide out as soon as string lights were attached to them. I even had hangers completely detach from the rafters causing several of my string lights to shatter on the ground. Good idea but poor design.

These are some knock offs to a product that actrually works. These are made of cheap, malleable plastic and do not fit because it's a long, flat, rectangular edge. The hook is so small you could only hang thin string from it. I have not use for these. Waste of money!
