Great information
I use this book for my studies and the book has lots of great information. It is a book that has great ideas and lesson plans on Diversity for students in Elementary School.

This is an excellent resource for all teachers
I first purchase this book in 2010, resold, and now in 2014 I repurchased again. This is an excellent resource for all teachers. A go to book for your a teacher's home library. Dr Chartock prepared this book very much as how an artiste opens a window for an audience to view a world they love and wish to share. She guides teachers through empirically based recommendations( strategies and lessons; principles and applications) to educational issues - focusing on culturally responsive teaching. If you teach in today's classroom, understanding the dynamics of multiculturalism is necessary for your survival in maintaining high professional standards.

common sense
This was required reading for some coursework I did. The general consensus of the class is that it was overly simplistic and common sense. Honestly, anyone who had ever spent any time at all in a classroom or even in an undergraduate education class could have written it. No surprises here. Very disappointing and over priced. I would not recommend it and honestly did not keep it after the course work was finished. I usually keep all my reference book but this one I sold at a yard sale. No one bought it so it ended up in the free bin. And you guessed it. Recycle bin.
