I discovered that all my newer motherboards no longer supported older PCI cards, and new SCSI cards were that much more expensive, all for a one-off task of pulling data from an old optical jukebox.Fortunately, this dual-PCI adapter was reasonably priced and works well. It's a curious contraption, funnelling the data via USB3 between the PCIe part and the dual PCI card, but that cable link gives flexibility in the mounting of the dual PCI part, given that it can be positioned well away from the motherboard. there's a cut-out in the PCIe external bracket to allow the cable easily to go outside the case to the PCI card outside, in case that's more convenient than having it inside the case.

They blew up, I bought 2 for 2 different setups and known good cards and both blew. Experienced technician baffled.

I could not get it working.No response from seller at all.returned as faulty
