Sturdy an Versatile
The keyboard easily has a hundred dollar feel to it for features and quality. Compared to the membrane keyboard I was previously using the keys seem a little smaller and are definitely louder but not too loud. The brown keys seem like the right choice for low noise level. Connectivity was EZPZ. For the moment the RGB functionality is cool but not a priority. I suspect the light effects will be appreciated more in a dimly lit room. Key cap swap for the windows keyboard went without a hitch but don’t forget to set the switch for Windows/Mac for Windows if that’s your OS. The keys have a smooth solid feel to them. The height of the keyboard requires a wrist rest at least for the way I use it. The aluminum frame and bezel make the keyboard feel like it is built like a tank. If you’re looking for a keyboard with connectivity options and a quality feel and like the idea of being able to personalize it a little then you will like the Keychron K8.

An extremely good keyboard, especially if you're into modding
The Keychron K8 is an extremely good keyboard, almost perfect. The only issues I have with it, is that there is no more options for the type of key switch. I wish there were options of Kailh and Cherry MX rather than just Gateron. The other issue is that they should have a PBT keycap option, for longer lasting keycaps. Otherwise, since it is hot-swappable and you can just change the keycaps, this keyboard is virtually perfect. It has amazing build quality, at least for the aluminum version that I have. The keycaps are very good, not too much RGB bleed through the keycaps, and a good amount of RBG options. This keyboard is also hot-swappable which makes it a very good option for beginners or enthusiasts. It also has bluetooth which makes it a compelling option for a wide variety of people. Not only that but it has support for Windows, MacOS, and for some reason Android and iOS if you're going to be buying a super expensive keyboard for your phone, if you're into that. This keyboard is great, I highly recommend this keyboard over the rest, the only thing is you're going to have to live without software. As they haven't created one but they should, it would honestly complete the experience for this keyboard.

Great Intro Keyboard
I enjoy the brown switches I got and the aluminum base gives a great premium feeling for the price point. I haven't encountered any lag over the usb connection or bluetooth. I switch daily between PC and Mac use and it keeps up just fine! I will warn that if you are using too many bluetooth devices with macos, in my case this keyboard in BT mode, a BT mouse, and wireless headphones, you can expect interruptions. Eventually, I will look into doing a hard wire connection to solve this. This keyboard is super easy to use on both operating softwares and is also easy to switch between. My last pro of this keyboard is the lack of bloatware. Coming from logitech and razer keyboards I always found it absurd the amount of software the keyboard relied on. Additionally, both applications those companies provided were never 100% reliable. Being able to just trust my keyboard will plug and play is a simple joy to have with the Keychron! My only cons for this product is that the given keycaps are good not great. My option key already has a scratch for less than 4 months of use. Another point I think users should note is that the lighting can be somewhat bothersome to scroll through in my opinion. I wish there were two or three macros to jump to a saved preset, for example static blue or breathing white.I usually keep it plugged in most of the day so I cannot comment much on the battery life. In the short experiences I have had it not plugged in and in use with my mac, I never had battery anxiety. It seems to do a good job of managing power the the backlight to not drain itself, as well as the auto-power off feature when it is not in use for a certain period.Overall an easy first keyboard, that I highly recommend if you are getting into the keyboard hobby. I also recommend if you are looking for a seamless input solution between Windows and Macos!

Great mechanical keyboard for Mac (originally received used item, but Amazon shipped a replacement)
I have been looking for an external keyboard that is designed to work well with Mac and this one checked all my boxes. I was debating between the K8 and the K1 and thought I would like the K1 because of its low-profile which is similar to the Apple keyboard I had been using, but (as another reviewer mentioned), the key presses just felt off on the K1. Not sure if it's the actuation force or the travel distance, but it felt clunky. Other than that, I absolutely loved the look of the K1, but in the end I decided to go with the K8 because of its true mechanical switches. The aluminum frame is a nice touch that makes them both look and feel solid.RGB backlighting is a nice bonus and looks really good. Tons of different lighting options.I can't speak to the battery life as I'm only using it in wired mode right now. But if I do need to go wireless, the ability to switch between three different bluetooth connections will be awesome! One of my biggest pet peeves with the Apple bluetooth keyboards was that using them with multiple computers is a huge pain – if my partner was WFH before me, it would connect to her computer and the only way to switch it over is for her to disconnect the keyboard first.

(K8 hot swappable)Great keyboard and customer service
Keyboard works great, no connection issues with any of my devices using Bluetooth. cable could be longer but I'll end up buying a coiled one any ways. Battery life is terrific, so far I've used it for 10+ hrs with the backlight on and swapping between devices and my computer reads it's at 78% charge. The only issue I had with this board was one switch was dead when it arrived, I contacted keychron through their website and they got back to me the same day with trouble shooting steps and by the next day I was giving them shipping info for them to send me 4 new switches (I only needed one). This was by far the easiest customer service experience I've delt with and was actually resolved without me having to send the whole keyboard back and wait for a new one. Will definitely recommend to people and will be purchasing another one in the near future for my wife.
