Lifetime 90966 Double Adventure Tower with Monkey Bars

The instructions say that this will take 3 adults 3 days and "up to 3 ladders" (a phrase that makes me laugh every time I think about it). That's probably pretty accurate - I built it on and off with help from 1-2 people at a time and it was probably pretty close to 72 man-hours. But it came out great! My boys love it, and it seems to pretty easily support 200lb men climbing around and testing the strength of the assorted steel poles. The kids happily clamber about, the rock walls are a huge hit, and the slides go FAST. My oldest loves going across the monkey bars and descending down the fireman's pole.A few gripes. First, there is a point during the instructions where the written instructions (at least in what I printed out) were legitimately wrong. The printed instructions contradicted the instructions in the video on youtube, but it was pretty obvious and was easily handled. There are a couple of other minor points in the instructions where ancillary parts are mislabeled or misdrawn. This is and should be a huge frustration. Second, there are some metal flanges that hang off tubes where one can tell they weren't bent into shape properly before being powder coated. Since they then were bent into shape by the assembly process, the powder coating cracked significantly. I don't think this will make a big structural difference for the towers, but I regardless think that the company should have spent $100 extra to add a bend to their parts - and then passed that cost on to me! Life would have been substantially easier and better.Having said that, I still would recommend it and still would buy it again. It's a great kit at the price and I know that my kids will have years of fun on it.

Still trying to put it together. Directions are not very clear for some of the steps. I’m excited to hopefully get finished with it soon so all my grands can give it a try!

My kids love the playset and it is unmatched in quality. However installing the two towers is made more difficult by the fact that the structure requires a perfectly level ground. The bridge and swing set crossbar have to be perfectly aligned to the two towers, requiring quite a bit of work to adjust the angles of the towers and level the monkey bar legs. Every additional tower adds roughly 4 hours to your project. It took me three days to install on my own and it required help from my neighbor to lift the bridge and adjust the swing set.

We purchased this playground for our campground where it will get a lot of use. All of the main structure pieces are metal and solid. This play set is extremely durable. I would highly recommend purchasing this over any of the cheaply made wood or plastic play sets. Instructions weren’t the greatest so it took quite awhile to get it fully assembled. But it’s a very large set so that was somewhat to be expected.

This is the best swing set! So worth it!

This play set is amazing. Took my husband 3 days to put it up by himself and under 15 hours. We didn’t level ground or anything and it is quite sturdy still.
