Q: What's the shelf life once the canister's have been opened?

I have been using West Epoxy for years and have never had a batch go bad. The shelf life on an individual unit is unknown to me, but I have gone at least three years on a single quart. The hardener changes color from clear to brownish over time, however, it seems to remain viable. When the product is cold it becomes too viscous for the pumps in which case I place the container in warm water for a few minutes to restore the proper .liquidity, being mindful that if you warm it up too much it will speed up the cure time.

Q: Is there are weight to weight ratio between 105 Resin and 205 Hardener so do not have to measure by volume?

Q: Can this be used to repair decks?

Yes, I have used this product to repair rot on decks. I would scoop out the rot, let it dry completely and coat the area with full strength epoxy. As a second step if the area is large I would use a powdered additive and make a putty like filler. work clean as cured epoxy if tough to remove.....even sanding can be tough. Remember, cured epoxy degrades in sunlight so it should be painted or stained with a solid stain.

Q: How well does this stuff work on delamintion on the front of a travel trailer between the fiber glass and plywood behind the fiberglass?

I have a sailboat that has fiberglass with a plywood core and I think it would work well if you can find a way to inject the 105 In adequate amounts so that it spreads out and then to compress the fiberglass against the plywood until it cures. If you drill holes in the fiberglass to inject the epoxy, I would use small pieces of fiberglass cloth saturated with epoxy to cover the holes when you are through. Then you can sand and paint without a dimple where you drilled the holes. If you can pull off the trim and pull the fiberglass away from the plywood, then you may want to consider tacking a layer of fiberglass cloth to the plywood that you can saturate before you put it back together. I don’t know the temperature where you are, so I would look at a West System chart to find out whether to use fast cure or slow cure depending on the temperature. Good Luck delamination issues can be trying.
