This product has changed my life .. I frequently lapse on the consumption of ... ANYTHING. I don't keep addictive medication or drugs in the house (for obvious reasons) but if I did, they would certainly be in my K-safe. I have 4 of them !!! I use them to regulate my access to codeine (for geniune back pain), food (and money) and alcohol. I have already lost a stack of weight. I have 4, because I lock away different things for different lengths of time. My willpower is best in the morning, so I buy my (healthy) food for the day then, put the food in the fridge and then lock away my purse till the next morning. I buy wine, which I put in a large Ksafe, and I set that for 9pm, when I have completed my days quota of study. Treats get rationed for 4 to 6 hourly intervals. My ipads (both mini AND new 9.7" pro) BOTH fit sideways in the big ones, so if I am procrastinating around studying, or home admin, I banish all devices. ANYTHING I can think of that I do compulsively can go into a KSafe. Including my wi-fi router. If I had a car, the keys would go in there too. I have put it in the fridge holding cheesecake for a treat at 9pm. I don't know of a compulsive behaviour my KSafe cannot solve. Yes, you can smash it open, but I would never do that. And yes, some spoiler reviewers have given ways of forcing the lock. I read them .. but Ksafes are incredibly well-designed, and if you DID try to employ lock-cracking techniques, you would seriously risk breaking it ... again .. something I would never do. Yes they are expensive, but they have already recouped their cost over and over on what I would spend on boozy benders, followed by HagenDaz binges. And being expensive, you are less likely to break them open. BUY one now and try. it is the BEST thing I ever ever bought on amazon.

This is outstanding. I use it for self bondage as my way of dieting, ( with all my keys in it and a lock on my refrigerator door). I usually set it in 4 hour increments, but have a second with all my keys as a backup (set to 12 hours set and reset at 8 am/pm). For evening, I use a padlock and turn the lights out so I can't read it until dawn, but still have my backup available.I love that it has no override..Of course, I always have a wireless telephone within reach, and there is a chain cutter and EMT shears behind the door - and I have friends who will come over in case something really screws up (both units fall out of reach, etc...) And, of course, with the phone there is always 911, so the firefighters will get a good laugh and I'll get a stern lecture (and probably a fine).I also have a set of keys quite a ways away in my car in our apt. complex, so if I am mobile (able to move), the neighbors can watch me hobble out in full regalia and take videos...These units add discipline to my bondage, and I have already lost a notch in my Posture Collar.... :)Don't knock it if you haven't tried it, and for all others... all I can say is.... ENJOY!!!(Maybe even some day I'll find a bondage partner..:)

I just purchased this item and it arrived a few days ago. I will mention what I know about the product at this point. The item seems to work in the manner for which it is intended. The lock which is on a timer works perfectly and does not unlock until the scheduled time. I believe, as long as you have a modicum of willpower (I've read others breaking into theirs) this box will work for you. However, I did read where others mention in their reviews that you can break into it without damaging the product. I do not believe that to be so unless they received an earlier version/model than the one I received. This item, bottom and lid, are made of hard plastic, and if you were to try to pry it open, I'm certain it would break. I updated my original feedback here which was "glowing" because the base (not the lid) of this container easily breaks. There are feet on the bottom, however, the feet do not have any rubber on them to prevent slippage and while I was cooking, it slid off of the counter so fast I couldn't catch it and once it hit the floor, the bottom became useless; it cracked all the way up from the bottom corner to the top of the base. I couldn't believe it as it seemed to be pretty sturdy plastic. A simple solution for this product would have been to put a rubber feet on the bottom AND a rubber border around the bottom so if it does fall off and hit the ground, there's a "shock absorber" so to speak which will keep it from cracking. Shipping was fast and the item was well package. I looked to buy a replacement bottom, but I guess they don't sell them individually and I still have the operable top.

This is the second time I have purchased this product. The ‘new’ one is at home. The older unit is in my vehicle. The difference between the old unit and this one is that the locking arms protrude farther from the base unit thereby making it more difficult - if not impossible - to defeat the locking mechanism other than driving over the entire unit with your car... Obviously, this unit is designed to help all of us with temporary temptations that most all of us have to deal with from time to time. It’s OK, we’re all human and all of us have difficulty with one thing or another, whether it be a cell phone addiction, or cookies, or whatever. If the thing from which you want to distance yourself from is too big to fit into the unit (as is my laptop), simply lock up that item somewhere else, and put the key from the lock in this unit. Honestly, this has been an absolute life-changer for me and I thank the inventor of this unit!! If you are looking at this unit and wondering.., wonder no more. It’s worth it!
