Q: Is this OK for galvanized metal?

Should not be used over bare galvanized metal. It will not stick well. For galvanized, use a "cold galvanizing primer.

Q: Sanding down a metal door, I can not get the tiny rust pits out, but otherwise looks very good. Should I use this or the rusty metal primer?

Use Rustoleum rust Disolver if you're concerned about those rusty pits turning rusty again in the future. Rustoleum Rust dissolver states the rusty surface will be paintable. I've had good experiences with Rustoleum.

Q: Will this work in a paint sprayer

Yes, when thinned with Acetone or Thinner. According to Rustoleum Tech Support use from 5-15% Thinner added the paint. I hope this helps.

Q: Does it make any sense to mix this with acrylic touch up paint to lighten the touch up paint as needed?

No - you'll have to use another acrylic paint to do that. However, for informational reasons - Rust-Oleum has become pure garbage. You can't even mix it with itself. For coverage, you either have to lay it on thick all at once, or you have about a 1 hour window to put on another coat. If you miss that window, or have to wet sand, even after a matter of DAYS, the next coat you lay on will craze and pucker, like putting lacquer over enamel.
