Overall happy, bad shipping practices!
5 stars for the card0 stars for GigabyteThey shipped my order the day it was expected to arrive, causing it to be late. So it sat unshipped for 5 days. When it finally arrived with ZERO packing material to protect it, I was mostly lucky to only find THE I/O SHIELD BENT.Was able to gently guide the shield back into shape and get it installed.I paid $489, and you think for the extra markup over MSRP that they would actually give you a little bit of bubble wrap at least, mind blowing concept.Anyways to get to the card itself, i am very happy with this as an upgrade from my old EVGA 1080 OC 8g card. Its MUCH lighter and more compact. These are getting a bad rep from big reviewers who are used to getting new models every year and don't have an actual sense of reality in my opinion.I tend to skip multiple generations and not buy gpu's ever year or two. Nor do i play the newest AAA titles due to anti-consumer practices. So far I've only had time to see the performance in Satisfactory and Star Wars Jedi Survivor, settings cranked up to the new recommend ones over what the 1080 was set to, and wow!Textures and lighting are incredible, and naturally better frames.Even power consumption surprises me as my 1080 would use right at 200watts of power, and this card hasn't even gone above 160 so far. Both games running at 1440p 165hz, recommended settings give me an average of 100fps.Also it's dead silent, even with the fans at 60% which is the highest they've had to spin up so far.I would strongly recommend this as a reasonably priced upgrade if you are at a gtx1080 or older. The only thing I would like to be different about the card is the PCI-E interface should be full length even though it's only an 8x card. To be able to use the PCI-E retention lock is kind of a must have. The only thing holding it in place is the I/O shield, and while it is lighter then my old gtx1080, I don't think that is secure enough.

Reasonable Priced GPU perfect for my needs.
Brought this for my most recent build needed to upgrade to Win11. Coming from an old 1060TI 6GB this runs circles around my old card. Main draw to this was the 16GB of VRAM, Since my PC is multi purpose and used more often for video rendering than it is for gaming the more VRAM the better. First impressions are very positive. One thing to be aware of is that it only use x8 of my x16 slot but for my needs this is fine. The card works well in my old case as it dual fan and very short in length and doesn't even use the full length of the PCIe slot. I did run some benchmarks on the card and use the NVDIA Auto tune to slightly overclock the card and the fan noise is still very reasonable and looks and runs very stable. Considered an entry level card it is perfect for my needs and very cost effective for someone not trying to push the envelope in a high end gaming rig.

5 Stars — Perfect Gift for a PC Gamer!!
I bought this graphics card as a gift for my partner, who’s really into gaming and building PCs. I wasn’t completely sure which model to go with, but after doing some research and reading specs, this one seemed like a great balance of performance and price. My partner was thrilled when they opened it. Installation was straightforward, and it worked right out of the box. They’ve been using it for a few weeks now with no issues, and it’s handled everything from AAA games to graphic-intensive projects without any lag or overheating. What stood out to me most was how quiet it runs compared to their old card, and they’ve mentioned several times how much smoother gameplay has been since the upgrade. If you're thinking about gifting a graphics card to someone who enjoys gaming or creative work, this one is definitely worth considering. It made a big impression, and it was great to see how excited they were to try it out.

the current-gen VRAM value king
you know exactly what you're getting here. the irony is that right now, for the Blackwell architecture, this is the best possible bang for your buck in terms of available VRAM, so if you're like me and need a card for small-ish model (in my case Qwen2.5-VL-7B-Instruct) inference application work this is kind of the only game in town. I may get a second one for gaming or might just wait for the cost of 5070s to drop; we'll see.

Amazing GPU
So far it is a great card, jumping from a RTX 3060 12gb, it is a solid boost, went from running oblivion remastered at 60-70fps to 90-120fps. Some people don't like frame gen and DLSS but to be completely honest even AMD is going for AI upscaling and starting to roll out their own frame gen, Nvidia will improve the drivers over time and that's fine, right now its a great upgrade for people with any gen 60 series (non Ti). DLSS and Frame gen are known for latency drops, and that will be annoying in competitive games, but these are always settings to disable anyway, but I see how that takes away from the value of the card.I do not recommend the 8gb as that isn't a whole lot anymore, and I would recommend the 5070ti if you can afford it, but if not the 5060ti is a card that will last for a while and the evolution of DLSS and Frame gen will make this a good buy that will maintain value for years to come.
